gun show feb2-3

I'll be there tomorrow morning mostly to people watch and check out prices. I don't plan on buying anything unless the ammo is fairly easy to get to or there is a good deal on something.

i was gonna go tomorrow but decided against it.

in your wanderings can you keep an eye out for 5.45x39 ammo? probably be in spam cans of 1080 rds. maybe post up what its going for???

You're all WEAK SAUCE!
5.45 x 39 was going for double what I paid last year. I only found it in 2160rd cases. They wanted 550.00 for that. At that price, I may shoot til I run out, then sell the AK. I can't blame the vendors, but the price gouging sucks.

It seemed this was the exact same show as the last one with less inventory (same vendors, same left over inventory, etc). If you bought ammo from the big ammo suppliers, it seemed like it was a fair deal (250 rounds of 223 for $500) but you had to wait in line for a couple hours is what I was being told by guys that had just made it through. If you bought ammo from the smaller booths, you got screwed (I saw crappy steel cased 223 for over $1 a round). Every thing else seemed over priced as well (no name stocks for $99, I can buy a magpul stock for less than that). If you missed it, don't feel too bad :D

There was quite a bit more....'suggestively' dressed women working at the booths than the last few guns shows I went to lol...

It's 150 dollars MORE per case than I paid last year, and that was just at Gunnies. No special deals.

Yes EVERYTHING is more this year, But considering its $100 less than the other place, Its better than nothing, Now where did I put that time machine I built...

I am hoping that you just switched the numbers around..... because 2 bucks a round does not seem like a fair deal to me.

 Yeah I did, it was $.50 a round for 223, still not a great price, but better than average right now.
