Hanging Tree 31 Aug

A small group (6) went to run the Hanging Tree trail the day before the main U4WDA runs on Saturday. It was a fun trail but not worth the 5 rating because there were bypasses for most of the tougher obstacles. The last waterfall did not have a bypass and the winches did come out for a couple of the rigs. Craig and Seth were able to crawl up it! I have to say that getting a running start at something is a new one for me but I made it after about four tries. The water really made things slick. It was a great day and James (sorry if that is wrong) did a great job of leading the trail. Thanks to another great group and hope to wheel with you all again.

Not sure mileage wise but it took us all day to get through it and we had no vehicle breakage unless you count mine not starting for a little while.

This was a fun trail up in the mountains. Most vehicles can navigate this trail without body damage. Glad I went!

Looks like fun! Cool rigs! Where is this trail located? I'm from up here in Wyoming & not too familiar with trail locations. Have been to Moab & the snakes.

Most small sized rigs. If the Scout didnt have rear steer it would have been A LOT worse. I stil bashed my rear quarter in one spot.


Anything full size is going to be tight
