I've had one of these red pep boys units for several years. I like the way it folds up easily and rolls into the corner. Even handled the 1100 lb mog engine without too much groaning...

That's a good engine hoist, too!!! I used one to put a fully dressed BBC into my boat. Not a problem! I even had the legs and everything extended all the way out, for the longest reach possible. Very nice and very sturdy. Since the legs come off, it all folds up nice and takes up about as much room as a stack of tires. :D

That press is only worth that much, too. I bought one, used it to do the bushings on my Acura (which it did a good job on), then sold it for half what I paid and built a true 25 ton press myself. The biggest problem is the little pecker doesn't have anything to guide it, so it goes all over the place. The jack is good for 12t, but the frame is only 5t, so it flexes to beat hell. The table is also not solid. Between the table and the pecker, if you put some real load on it, your work will go shooting out of the dang thing!

You want to see a real press, come check out the one I built....Only sucky part is it's not hydraulic - yet! But it would be very easy to add on later!!!!!!! I have about $350 into it... Some big C channel, tool steel, CroMo, lots of 1/2" bolts, etc...viola!
