Hella fog lights

i have a set of hella fog lights and was wondering if it is possible to hook the fog lights up to the factory tj fog light switch. I am retarted when it comes to wiring. just want to know so that i dont have to run a new switch and all the relays that they give you

I dont see why you wouldnt be able to. Id check the wattage of the bulbs on your Hellas compared to the stockers though just to be sure. But if they are run through a relay then there shouldnt be any problem.

ok there are 2 wires on the stock and then only one on the new???

Hot and ground.... The stock driving lights need both wires, where the Hella's use the frame for ground. Simply take a volt meter, turn on the driving lights, and find hot and cap the ground (or use it-either way).

thats what i figured. but will i have to run a ground?

Nope... Not if you have a good clean bite when you bolt on the new lights...They will get thier ground from being bolted to your frame.

ok this is what i have tried. i clipped off the quick connect to the factory fog lights. tied my power into the one line that comes off the hella, and even ran the ground to the fram and no workie???

ok figured it out there is a ground inside the light housing doh!!!
