my name is casey, i live in murray UT

i'm fairly new to the off road world. i have owned several 4x4's in the past but have never been on any serious trails.

i have been dreaming of building a toyota with a v8 since i was old enough to drive, now that i have the resources and money i have decided to just dive on in..

i just recently bought me a 90' toyota to start a build up on. got some big plans for her..

SAS kit with Dana 44 and high steer
14 bolt rear end with 63" chevy springs
chevy LS motor
turbo350 trans
dual cases
37" tires with some good negative offset wheels (i want to stay street legal-ish)

so far i have the truck, dana 44 w/high steer and looking at a 14 bolt tomorrow.

shopping for a SAS kit.. the drivetrain will take me awhile.

here are a couple pics thus far..

awesome, sounds like some killer plans. I know you have the d44 already, but have you considered a toyota mini truck front axle, or even better, an FJ80 elocker front axle? Welcome to RME, we look forward to watching the build. I recommend you start a build thread, there are a TON of knowledgeable people on here. it's a great resource. Thanks for introducing yourself to RME, it'll be fun to watch that truck grow up.

Sorry, I didn't mean to come in here and tell you what to do with your rig. Either way, it's going to be awesome.

Nice. Build should be cool. You said leaves rear right? what's your plans up front? Links or leaves?

i planned on leaf springs for now to save some cash. so it will be leafed front and rear.

thanx guys, i hope this all goes as smooth as possible. i want to have this beast up and running by next summer but we shall see.
