Well after a lucky Friday the 13th at the picknpull we came back with most of the parts we needed and even an xj d44 that we didn't need. I built the composite spring pack using the 4x4 comanche springs and three of the 2wd comanche springs. I was figuring that I would get a minimum of 2 inches of lift due to the thickness of the spring pack and the 1 inch higher arch of the 4x4 springs but I ended up with around 5 inches of lift . So now the back is higher than the front. Do these mixed up spring packs settle much ? or should I take one leaf out ? I was surprised to see that this extra thick spring pack still flexes nicely and with a little bit of weight comes down to a nice ride height. It looks like I will need a slip yoke eliminator for his 231 tcase, does anyone have one they would sell us ?

I'd bet you won't see a lot of settling out of the "seasoned" springs you used.

And yes, I do sell slip yoke eliminators. ;)

Just aheads up to the RME guys out there since Dave is in need of brake lines. When you come down make sure you say you are with RME, we have a cash acount setup for you to use, gives you an extra discount. so remember to tell who ever helps you.

PM sent Dave

This Rocks!
I stopped by Hose and Rubber a few weeks ago for the first time just to check it out. Needless to say, I was impressed by their selection and the fact that they support RME members is sweet!

I'll be obtaining a number of things from them for my project. :greg:

Sorry for the hijack.

I haven't experienced much settle in the 2.5 yrs I have run my bastard pack. I would take a one or two out to get to your desired level.

Really Sorry

Don't go to Evco they will either screw it up, not know what to do or charge you to much. They are a bunch of morons. Go see the dudes at Hose & Rubber like Eflegal is saying. I haven't gone back to Evco since i found Hose & Rubber.

I am very sorry for the bad experience you had in our store(s) I would like to try to make it up to you some time. Email me when you get a chance and we will do what we have to to earn your business back. In the meantime, you are in good hands with eflegal (who I know) and the rest of the guys at H&R.

Look for our trailer at the Moab Safari. We will be set up all week building brake and clutch lines, as well as hydraulic hoses. We will be set up to do welding and other repairs.

^^what he said.^^

I am sorry for the bad experience you have had in our stores. I appreciate the feedback however, since it will give me a chance to help our guys better serve customers like you. Please email me sometime. I would like the chance to try to earn your business back or at least make things right with the past. In the meantime, you are in good hands with efliegal (who I know) and the rest of the guys at H&R.

Look for our trailer at the Moab Safari next month. We will be set up all week to build brake and clutch lines, hydraulic lines, and basic weld repairs. I promise you will not be disappointed there.

We just got back from Moab where we put the MJ to the test. We first hit up the Gemini Bridges and Bull Canyon to make sure things worked. Then the next day we did Hell's Revenge and Poison Spider. On the last day we did Metal Masher. The MJ performed great and went up everything my son aimed it up. It was fun to see him walk up the ledge on Hell's Revenge so easily where others had busted their axle.
We found a few things that I need to fix like a longer pitman arm so it will turn full stop to stop and I need to fix some minor clearance issues where some things rub a bit. It also drove much better than it did with the short arm lift he used to have. He didn't have any wobble problems, unloading issues on the hills or brake dive. Here are some shots of the trip.
