General Tech Help! I need to fix my floor jack!

I loaned out my floor jack and when I got it back it would only jack things up about 3/4 of the way and then wouldn't lift it any more.

I thought that some how there was not enough fluid so I added some and that was a mistake. There is a rubber grommet that is there for when some dummy fills it to full and pops out.

So after I cleaned my face of the fluid and put the plug back in I still had the same problem.

How do I get the pressure back so that my jack will jack things all the way up! I need to build my new cross member and my jack won't go high enough.

I've had Gustin hydraulics fix jacks before but It's been a while so I don't know what they charge now. You could call and see if it's worth it.
They also might have a repair kit you could put in youself.

When you pulled the plug did you have the jack as low as it would go?

It popped out when I was jacking it up, I had too much fluid.
