I still think it looks like a AMC cover but the bolts top and bottom dont match.

It's not an AMC cover, they are round, not oval.

Hard to tell from the pics but if it the mounting pattern is 100% round then it could be a Land Cruiser diff cover

Bolt pattern's wrong, Kurt. You can tell THAT from the pics.

Given the kind of bling a 10bolt inspires, along with multiple steering stablizers and chrome, bolt-on trusses, I'm going with 10bolt.

Here we go, could be the ford 10 bolt 8.8 (still) or the GM 10 bolt 8.5", nice round pattern with both of those.

The spacing doesn't look quite right for a 35C, but I could be wrong.

Ok. Seriously. It's probably for a 10 BOLT AXLE, made by AAM for GM, for light duty trucks. NOT A 44!!!!
