..... but my tiny TJ was no match for that huge bus. I wish I had taken a picture.

VDub's can handle a simple tow... what's wrong with your Jeep? :p

As if.

It could make 5,000ft lbs and still not weight enough to pull that plane ;)

554 ft/lbs of torque from the V10 TDI diesel. :p Pretty sure thats more power than your Cummins... hell, that's the same amount of power my '03 makes with the Common Rail motor. I'd love to have a TDI Touareg. They added 3 tons of weight in the back of the Touareg to get the tires to stick.

Damn! A 5 liter in that little car? And no, it doesn't make more torque than my 5.9 liter single turbo Cummins. ;)

Just, but the V10 comes hopped up where mine comes at 60% of it's designed power :p

I found an article where they got 631ft lbs out of the V10, but I beat that on the first step of my chip ;)

I know... just going for a baseline comparison. :greg:

It's also pretty cool that they put a low in a car :) or did that silly Brit mean first gear?

I'm pretty sure they have low range as well. IMO they're amazing vehicles for being soccer mom SUV's. I wanted a Touareg TDI diesel before I owned the TDI Jetta... now I want one even more. They're spendy though, I could have a new Dodge & a new TDI Jetta for the price of a TDI Touareg.

i do believe Audi's diesel spanked everyone in the racing circuit(which i witnessed firsthand in Sebring)... i'd assume those engines would be related??

i live right next to there, i would have come but dont think i would have helped much with my 33's n no lockers, maybe could have winched ya out? What possesed ya to take that trail after a foot n half of snow? lol

Well I was down in SLC all day and they got 1" of snow. Almost everyday come up I-89 and drive down the little trail since I live right off of Antelope. Well I figured we got a little more now than SLC but not 1600% more. I decided that what I originally figured was wrong right after I hit the snow, but there was no turning back. Steering was useless.
I'm pretty sure next purchase will be lockers.
