Do the f150s get decent mileage? I only checked out Chevies because the 5.3 motor is so bulletproof. I know nothing about Fords. Which Ford motor will get me the best MPG?

what's your average MPG in a v8 runner? 14-17?

My wife drives it like an old lady and the computer says she averages 17 around town. I know on long trips down to New Mexico I average 18+. There is nothing that can express the joy of cruising at 75 mph @ 2 rpm and never having a real down shift on a hill.

Disclaimer: When I first bought it for myself and was tracking the mileage I was getting 14-17. I drove it like it was a wild hooker asking for more.

I would assume the 1st gen sequoias share components with the 1st gen tundras, which share suspension components with the 1st gen tacomas.

I loved my 09 F150 supercrew. I averaged 16 MPG city, 19 HWY in it. I had the 5.4 v8, and 3.15 or so gearing. I thought is was geared high at first, but the 6 speed tranny was great. Plenty of power, cushy ride, good mileage for a long heavy truck. Of all the vehicles I have ever owned, that is the one I wish I had back.
