Help Me! It ran fine till 20 min ago.

Soooooo pulled the jeep out to run it a while and charge up the battery. It started fine and ran for about 3-4 min then quit.

So I turned her over for 30 sec or so and she caught spark and fired up and ran for another min or so.

Did the same thing again. It took three tries and it fired up and ran for 30 seconds.

Now she wont fire.

I can hear the fuel pump. She has gas. I am cleaning the filters now just in case.

What else should I be looking to?

Not sure what the issue was. I clean out all the filters, new gas, plugs just the basics and she is running again. I am going to let her run tomorrow for a bit and see if it happens again. Weird.

Last time that happened to me it turned out that my fuel cell had moved over and pinched my fuel line :ugh: It acted exactly like you described. Did it make a really weird smell too?

Not that I noticed. It ran fine today. The wiring on this baby has gotten brittle. I spent an hour tracing a similar problem at the summer convention. I bypassed the switches on the ignition circuit down there and got it working. I have pieced it back together here and there but I need to do an overhaul this summer sometime. The electrical gremlins are gunna come out and get me one of these trips.

Sure just when you can keep it together enough to wheel without breaking, you have electrical gremlins:p

You were there. Ahead of me on Crazy 8. Fought with that thing for 45 min, bypassed everything in the wiring, got it running then broke the shaft 10 min later. :redneck: Right after you... on the same waterfall.

I wanna run that trail again. Do they have more down there like it?

Summer convention is back there this year. I am trying to hook up with the guys from Unlimited 4x4 (from richfield) down in Moab April 28th. I will find out the skinny then. I know they were adding trails this year. I think at least one was hard like that.

I wanna do a little more than a one day trip this time, though.


(I wanted to get to Kanab for the spring one too, but I don't think I can afford the time off at this point. We'll have to see.)

I'm just going to do a night drive friday for the spring convention. Sleep in the bed of the truck and hit it.

If you want to do a Richfield run sometime I am all for that. I got to stay out of the heat so the first part of October would be sweet.
