4.56 is as low as you go in the 8.25 . If you get the 44 you can do 4.88's which is the lowest the 30 will go.

Unless you're planning on jaunts over 70 mph. My Jeep HATED that RPM and rewarded me with poor fuel mileage (35" MTR and 4.88 gears).

That's the only word that comes to mind when I see a D30.....SMALL.....
Wow.......my 4.88 pinion was SMALL.....I bet that 5.38 unit is barely bigger than the pinion shaft.
