Update:
All data was recovered and they shipped the drives back overnight to me. Total cost was $1,050 - after they paid for next day morning shipping to and from them.
Thoughts about ReWave Data Recovery:
Very professional all the way from the beginning. Never made any promisses, other than "all they do is data recovery for the last how many years". Lot's of communication emails/phone calls. They called me within moments after completing their online form. They sent me the waybill. Let me know when the drive arrived. Let me know when they diagnosed the problem. Let me know when the parts were in. Let me know when the drive was fixed and how much of the data could be recovered. Let me know when all the data was actaully recovered. And let me know (tracking number) when the drive actually shipped back. The only downfall was the cost. But they did treat me like I was their only customer through the whole process. I even asked for immediate access to a couple of files, and they had no problem with extracting them, zipping them up, and emailing them to me.
Would I use them again? Yes.
Could I afford to? No.
