Air bag ratings are similar to tires. At 100 psi they support 5000 lbs. I typically run mine at 40-50 psi with some heavy tongue weight. So at 50 psi they are good to 2500 lbs. I think you would be fine with with the lighter duty air bags. Do you know what the tongue weight of your trailer is? That would give you a better idea.

I looked up how to figure out the tongue weight. now I need to go and get the trailer and figure it out so I have a better idea what I want.

Air bags won't let you down. I've enjoyed them on two different trucks. Never leaked air, ever. Both set ups have been air-ride. Really easy to adjust the air pressure for different loads so you can always have your truck level and riding as comfortable as possible. Axle payload is another bag but having the truck level drives much nicer down the road and you get flashed less as your headlights stay on the pavement.. My 2c is airbags are worth every penny if you ever put weight in your bed or tow anything.
