Due to class rules for UROC I have my complete frame, The last two feet or so are just cut off, flipped over, and welded back on. No help here. Most I have seen have capped the end of the frame and butt welded a tube to the cap, never seen one like that fail. I like the idea of sleeving the tube inside the frame, then capping the remaining area, and gusseting it, I think that is probably stronger than the original frame.

seems like if you are going to do it why not tube the whole thing?

Seems like that is the natural evolotion anyway, are you just prolonging the inevitable by using the cab forward section of the frame now?

Not trying to argue, just geniunely curious :D

thinking more about this I realize it would make the whole deal a lot more complex, but you could keep your current rig running through alot of the chassis build up?

I can see that it would be a lot less work...

What if you were to sleave the frame with a plate-tube sandwich

Can you post a pic of yours?

I realized this shortly after I cut the tub in half, and now I'm kicking my self in the ass. But as with anything I do see things that may have been better in this build up.

Thanks for the comments on the Bronco.

Is that a but weld Marc?

Does the front radius arm come all the way back to where the rear link meets??
I need to come look at your ride. Or see it closer next time it's out on th trail.

That tube goes into the frame aout 10". It has a little bend in it, combined with the bend in the frame, it wedges between the top insideand bottom inside of the frame rail, a couple of gussets inside the frame, and then a plate to cap it off.....

I like to over build and screww with people looking at it. Looks like a weak but weld, but is not.

The frt arms come in about 8" forward of the rear links (the ones you can see).

You know where it is, come by and take a look.
