It wasn't really in the way...unless you have drive an Xterra! :D  It was dead and already knocked down when we got there. They were upset that someone rolled onto it and knocked it over by trying a different line than them. I tried to get them to try another line around it, but they didn't like the idea of running a new line.

Yeah I hear you bro. On the one hand you don't want to make a bigger impact on the area than you have to (including trees), but on the other hand, those trees are like weeds, and about as valuable......

What?

You stack 10" rocks instead of 5" ones now??
Dude I have to stack 10" of rocks just to get into my garage.

On the trail I just put my sand ladders down and winch up everything.

...speaking of which has anyone explored the mountains north of Delle? There looks like there is some potential up in them, I looked into it a little and a lot of it is BLM land or Church land...

I did some rally racing out there in my Tacoma a couple months back... definatly a place to return to in my cruiser... trails everywhere with some promise... :D

That is so yuppi...

Correction: It is so European. (and lame). Damn British invention.......if they'd put bigger 'tyres' on their rigs than p215's they might be able to actually prevent getting stuck......

Well look at the type of wheeling that they do, mostly what they call, "Winch challanges" Just like muddy/grassy wheeling, mostly racing and the such.

Not very many rocks in the UK

P.S. I am going to be sticking 33 to 35" tires on my Rover to try and prevent getting stuck, thats after the new heavy duty front shafts and CV's arrive

wife kicked me out:(

Ok, really I was fishing:D We had our base camp on Badger Island (Not much of an island) and we fished the shore all the way from the Causeway clear down to Black Rock (the south marina if you dont know where black rock is)...I have traveled the entire distance (more than once a day usually) by 4 wheeler...so I got to know the dirt roads pretty well in that area:D...the only issue is that we could go where ever we wanted because we had paid Mag Corp $50K to have access to their "improvements" (roads) so I dont know what is open roads and whats theirs...I dont think they really care as long as you aren;t in the posted areas or on the roads that connect stansbury island to badger and badger to mag corp...(nothing along them anyways)...however there looks to be some awesome stuff on Stansbury Island too BUT we need to wait till the state/county makes Blazard tear down the gate (the road was ruled to be a county road the whole length of the island so he cant restrict access now:D)...I know that whole area VERY well so I expect to do some exploring this summer:D

How many people can say they have driven a 4 wheeler to Hat Island:D I did legally with the Fish and Game one day:p find that on a map and you will see that the lake is really really low cause its all dry land from stansbury to hat:eek:

I'll get some pretty sweet pics up from on top of Carrington Island:cool:

What the HELL is this????

Ok finally got the ^%$%#@ pic inserted. Now we know who tore the tree down. OK, I read the caption, Im sure it was already dead. It bugs me that it was abused to the point of death.....it wasn't necessary to be removed, it wasn't in the way.

EZ

It was down befor they got there. they just moved it off the trail.
I was a head of a group that was befor them and it was up when I went threw. then we walked down the trail and it was down befor they got there. So stop pointing fingers. I know who it was and they know who they are and yes there on this board. So just leave it, it is no worsr than rock being pulled off the hill side

I was on that run and the tree was down before we got there. There was no way for us to do the upper line so we moved the downed tree out of the way. The funny thing about this is that the silver Xterra in the post about stacking rocks is Justin Russell who was the only unlifted vehicle in the group and the one who linked to our gallery, pretty big of you Justin.

As far a digging holes? one picture with some dust, that proves alot. I'm sure none of the people on this board has ever spun a tire or dug a hole, get real. So no one in our group is running dual cases or 60's or 39.5 swampers, big deal.

I have never figured out why one group of people thinks that their way is the only way. Our group is not a hard core wheeling group, does that mean we can't enjoy the same PUBLIC land as people with different interests? I personally like to try things that are at the limit of what my vehicle is capable of, what is wrong with that.

In due time my truck will lose the IFS and be turned into more of a trail rig than it is now, until then I will continue to do the trails that I can and enjoy what I've got for now.

I am impressed by the vehicles and fabricating skills of many of the members of this board. I am not impressed by hypocrites like Justin Russell and people with way more attitude than most of them can ever back up.

Get over it.

I agree 100 % with your views toward trail sharing. That was my point when I pointed toward the pic I linked. Leave the trail as it is, let mother nature take it's course. To place blame is assinine.
