Yep you read it, its allready started. Carbon County Road Dep came out to touch up the King 4X4 Challenge park for next weeks (Aug 13ths) big show and we talked them into building phase one of what we call the Gauntlet. I estimated it to be 1000 yards long with many ups, downs, and off camber spots in it. We plan on adding rocks, logs, and mud into the mix to complete phase one, then adding phase 2 to make it even longer. In the end nearly every obstical we can fit in the hole will go in.

The Gauntlet will not be ran as part of the 05 Challenge, but we are working towards running the Gauntlet as a seprate winner takes all event durring the Challenge. For 06 the Gauntlet should be part of the King Challenge. :greg: :p  :D

Here are some pics

I shot some pics today of Great Scott and Allen running the newest obstical in The Price 4x4 park and thought I would post them. I also posted them in the competition section with the King 4x4 Challenge post.

I don't know.. I know where that is and it is pretty long! I'd say at least a good couple hundred yards..and longer if it starts going up the hill that is there.

Off to the left you can see their 'log ride', and that is about 50' long....Just to give you an idea of the length of their tank trap....

But I agree! Carbon County has it made! Everytime I am down that way, I head over and check out their park and play around a bit. Granted, I am always alone, so I don't do anything that could leave me stranded, but still...I'm jealous!!! :D

The guantlet

Acutally I think the log cross is 100' long. And the guantlet goes right into the base of the hill so you have to climb the hill to get out. The finish line is the top of the hill, so the hill adds 50-70' to the length.
