That is a much more useful tool than the plain old list that they also have.

Thanks for the link.

this is a great tool but you have to remember that its the ones that arent singed up that you have to watch out for.

They had a splurge on the news last night about that. They said something like one half of one percent of registered sex offenders commit another sex crime. It's the unregistered ones, ones that haven't been caught, that you need to watch out for.

Also some of them are really sex offenders. They are men caught in a situation beyond their control ... a he said, she said. The men most always loose in that.

My ex-brother in law was caught in one. His step daughter accused him, and he lost. He's registered. The mom is still married to him and the daughter lives in the house (sometimes). If it really happend as a mom I wouldn't stay married to him, nor would I let my child around him. But they are still a family. So I have to wonder if the system is really all that reliable.

Ya iv'e heard lot's of numbers before but none as rediculas as those.
It might be closer to one half of one percent are repeat offenders.
I also heard that on the news, It's bulsh!t.
some one who has some free time should find the real numbers though.
No doubt unregistered ones are very dangerous as well.

I think that the # is much higher than that. I'd guess 1 in 5 recommit an offense. I knew a couple offenders growing up and they both were never to be trusted again for countless repeated offenses. I've heard that the only cure for a Pedofile is death. I vote for castration for a 2nd offense, that should help. ;)

I don't know when you castorate an animal it cuts their sex drive right off, they don't even have the desire. They say it works the same in humans. I guess it depends on if there is any sexual desire for the kids or if it is a controlling issue.

Castration is different than a vasectomy.

I realize that, they only remove the marbles though.

Rapists seek control. I think pedophiles are in the same boat, but whether that is the case or not, you don't need testicles for sexual desire.

I think so much of humans sexual desire is mental, if they have already become sexually deviant, it would not change the situation. Maybe if there was castration before puberty it would eliminate sexual desire, but I still doubt it would work in a human.

yes it cuts their sex dirve but not all offenders are driven by a need for sexual desire some it is a control or dominance issue and they will continue even with the loss of their (00). my vote first offense is mandatory 20 years. second death. I mean how F'd up in the head do you have to be.
