hood scoops

I need a new hood and decided to add some scoops to it before it goes on.


marked out where I wanted them cut,

cut holes(love the plasma).

took some 4" exhaust tubing and made the scoops.......

after a little shaping, things lined up and I tacked them in.

but louvers would let more air in, i think.

Nice work..but just one thought. Make sure nothing of great importance is under them, look like they will make great water scoops

yeah, kinda I guess. I basicly just wanted to see if I could do it. and didn't want something sticking above the top of the hood.

my scout's got a hood cowl but its only for the air cleaner to fit, i hope people dont think i put it there to look cool, although it is pretty sweet

How did you get the scoops to attach to the hood? weld them on? I wonder, what about putting some lights to shine from the inside out, it would look pretty cool at night when your on the trail.
