Wanted Hoopty ride for my 34 year old...$1000 or thereabouts

Does anyone have a languishing kids car in their driveway that needs a new home? My oldest son is in need. At this point, he has almost no budget and no credit. We are making some progress

He does have a job and he's working with myself and his mom weekly to learn how to pay bills and be an adult. His 330k mile Saturn puked today.

If this purchase can get him to March-April-May-June that'd be fine.

I have two older cars which belonged to my parents. I have had numerous people ask if they are for sale, or if I want to rent them... At this point in time I don't want to sell them, due mostly to sentimental value. But as a result I've been looking for good low-cost cars for these people who are friends, neighbors, Ward members...

I'll keep you in mind.
