Red Stone Inn is my fav - Bighorn Lodge is second.

Call them and let them know you will be there a week - they will often cut you a deal.

during the onseason we stay in the cabins at moab valley rv. its like 40-60 dollars a night depending on the cabin you want. if you wait another month the off season begins and prices drop alot. we got the executive suite at one joint for 50 dollars a night. but i cant remember the hotel.

we are going down the first week in november and are planning on staying at the red cliffs lodge. but thats on a gift certificate so i dont know what it would cost.

we usually stay at the motel 6 or the days inn. we tell them we are with our four wheel drive club and we expect a group to be coming down. they usually cut us a deal.

The best link you can have for Moab
http://www.moab-utah.com

Hotel prices drop on 1 Nov. You can stay at Big Horne Lodge for $35.00 after that day, although that particular hotel if you get the southwing it shakes like an earthquake everytime a tractor trailer rolls by which is about every 10 minutes. I would suggest Red Stone. Canyonland Campgrounds right across the street has cabins for $38.00 a night, they're real clean as well as their showers and restrooms.

many of us from Idaho will be there the same days and the best rate I found was the Sleep Inn at about $87 per night. Post up if you find a better deal please.

The Sleep Inn is a very nice motel, the continental breakfast is quite good.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels in Moab and we like the La Quinta the best.

With the AAA discount (they never ask for a card even if you don't have it) their rates work out to be pretty good.

It's a really nice hotel, clean, big rooms, great breakfast, and lots of parking.

If you sign up for the returns program, which is free, you get a free nights stay after your first 8 nights, and then I think it goes to a free night every 5.

Prior to La Quinta, I liked Aarchway Inn, but they recently changed management and their rates have gone way up. Service has gone down too, I wasn't too impressed at all last time I stayed there, but it was really nice 2-3 years ago.

I agree! We were all about the Aarchway until this spring when the owners changed. It really has gone down hill which really stinks because that's always been our favorite. The La Quinta is awesome though. I didn't know that they didn't ask for your AAA card, I'll have to mention that we're members next go around....:guilty:

Make the reservation online and they never ask for it. You just check a box for AAA discount.

That's the safest way.

The nice thing about the cabins there is you can plug in your equipment and fix yer junker right there in front of the cabin and everyone is okay with that. but yeah it gets noisy for all the young people partying. Hmmm, i can almost remember those days :)
