That and liquor laws almost as weird as here seem about par for the course in Texas? At least near Dallas. I don't understand the stripclubs. Why go somewhere and pay money to get that frustrated?

Free food and it dosent cost money to get in thats a Utah thing I also grew up in Houston (West U, Sugarland and Katy) I miss the food, money, people and the beach. But I don't miss Houston

Been to Gaidos several times and I am not impressed. Overpriced and the fish is as fresh and better at Market Street....
Galveston is still not back %100 from the Hurricane. Much of the "Strand" is still empty and not repaired. A lot of businesses have not reopened yet.
(Really good friend lives there. His house is repaired, but they still can't move back because things are not open/repaired yet.)

As for Houston, there is a LOT of good food, wish I could remember some of the names. Great little sole food cafeteria place I LOVE, and a place with 3 sizes of chicken fried steak!!!! Wandering around the shops, galleries, and stores in the "Heights" was always interesting. Driving through the NICE neighborhoods is sure to make you feel poor....

Don't check house prices there - will make you sick. $250K will get about double what it will in Utah.
