The FRA guy investigating the derailment was the one what wrote 'save' on that truck, as it was the one that caused the derailment. They were keeping it from the scrappers, for the derailment investigation. A trainmen didn't fully release the brake on a car, it started dragging awhile after they picked up the car and eventually derailed on a switch.


We have one of those in our Provo yard....kinda scary. I'm glad I'm mechanical and he is section.

Hummmm... I worked in the Provo yard for a bit, early in my UP career. I might know who you're talking about.

Sadly, no. Different guy... kinda scary how there's more than one questionable guy that I work with. :ugh:
