Instead of rigging a wire up to honk your horn, run the wire to the driver's seat . . .

If they don't de-activate the wire, you'll hear them yelp when they start it up.

Driving a honda is the problem. In the car theifs hand book it tells them to look for Honda's first. I posted a month ago about my sons Honda getting pinched from the parking lot were he works. The hidden switch is the best the club the worst.

just taking notes..... I requested an office with a window over looking the parking lot. They asked why and I told them I'd bring my pellet gun and start plinking suspected folk....

I'm not sure if rigging up a hidden ignition kill switch would do the job....do you think "The Club" might work? It's visible, and you can't really drive the car with one on--but if they're easily defeated that's not practical.

Suggestions? This is a hassle I don't want to deal with--not to mention I'd prefer to keep the stuff I've acquired.

I have seen a card type ignition stopper that wont give the engine power unless the card is in place. Yes they could wire over it but they would have to take more time and prabably not worth it. A hidden kill switch would work nicely.

The reason the hondas are stolen so often is they have only a few "master" keys to get into them. I worked at an apartment and we would find "jackers keys" all the time. It was a ring of 10 or so keys that would open almost all hondas mid 90's and lower.

They also make a kit that puts a blocker plate above the key lock so they cans slim jim the door open. You could make the same thing easily with some thin steel or aluminum.

I watched a news show (60 Minutes, Dateline?) where they questioned a car thief extensively. He said a kill switch, by far, was the most deterrent. Owners can put them anywhere, and it's not worth taking the time to find it.
