I am working on a buddies XJ it has a short arm kit with adjustable upper arms. Is there any way it can be figured out without an alignment rack?
How do you figure out caster?

take a level and place it across the C's and then put an angle finder on it to see what angle it is... most XJ's like between 3-5 degrees if I remember right...

On an xj you can also measure the caster off of the two round flat spots on the front of the axle where the tubes go into the differential. XJs usually have 6-8 degrees of caster if I remember correctly.

read my whole post and you will see i put the angle finder on the level...
A straight edge is what you need I use a short level.... but like dave said you can also use the two holes and hope that the tubes have not slipped instead the diff like my GF's Tj did...
