How do you keep wheeling fun?

this isn't another EJS sucked thread.
This is more like I have F&R lockers, stupid crawl ratio, hella flex, no fear of body damage ( i actually WANT to trash the bed so I can tube it), and a stout enough drivetrain to handle what you can throw at it.

Well by this time most trails are panzies compared to the trucks.
How do you keep it fun? You have to get harder and harded trails /lines. But these trails are harder and harder to find.

4 wheeling really is an addiction isn't it? Hard to get your fix since you have had the good stuff. :D

Lose a locker or two and the winch, drop down to 33's and go back and try all those tough trails again. See what you can do with driver skill. Think of the bragging rights you could have, "I did Pritchett open without a winch!".

But then again, part of the fun of wheelin' is building cool stuff. Then breakin' it and building it better. I saw a t-shirt at ESJ that said; "If it ain't broken, fix it till it does!".

Buy something with IFS and try doing the same trails that you do now.

True.....

Skye, if you think you're 'All That', go play in the next UROC. You'll be humbled quicker than you'd ever think.

see alot of you are missing my point. Get harder trails isn't the answer. I had alot of FUN last weekend. I showed a few newbies around (dragon no rig , got mud lifted IFS runner and his brother in a 91 stock 4wd) and watched them love there little flex and the open diffs. It was fun to help spot them through it.I have let my ol lady drive a few trails. thats always a rush  But then it always ends up that I want to find harder trails also. But I don't really want to keep going harder. but it is fun to let others learn with your help.

my cousin regularly drives to canada just for the heck of it with his knees, manuevering through highway systems steering with his legs only......

sounds like you need another sport...forget rock-crawling, take up knitting or quilting, those puncture wounds can be exciting....:p

Skye, it sounds to me like you answered your own question. How do you keep wheelin' fun? You do it because you love it, not because you have to push yourself to do bigger and better challanges. Keep your rig as it is and wheel the girlfriends rig for a while. Take newbies out once in a while and teach them how to further our sport. Sounds like that's what you enjoy. I love taking people out who've never been wheeling before just to see the look on their faces when they say "You're not going to go up THAT!?" Then you do it and it's the coolest thing they've ever seen. Do it for the love.

My thoughts exactly I haven't done too much rock crawling yet. Sunday at EJS we took out a guy I knew from blanding in his 93 (banana yellow) ranger on Poisonous Spider scared him a bit but I think he's hooked now.

Try knitting, quilting, or crocheting on the trails.:D :D
You can sale the results on RME and name your masterpiece after the trail.
