I bought my LJ stock in 2014. One of the happiest days of my life. It has been so much fun ever since, as a super gradual build. My goal (mainly due to $$ restrictions) has always been to always be ready and able to go wheel it. That's why it hasn't really ever sat for a big build. Little by little it became what it is now.

I'll be that guy as I don't plan on selling mine and will still have it 10-15 years from now driving it and wheeling it during retirement.

My current XJ is my first 4x4. I bought it completely stock in May 2017. Here is a pic of when I first brought it home and what it looks like now.

Our previous Jeep we bought in May of 1998 with 33k miles on the odometer and kept it until end of 2011 (13~ish years) with 189k miles on the odometer. It was our daily driver, weekend wheeler and toad that we drug along behind our coach.

My wife and I purchased our currnent 2011 JKUR in November of 2011 with only 3208 miles on the clock and it was stock.

The work commenced with stage 1 of the build over the Christmas holiday of 2011.

This is what it has morphed into 8 years later and will more than likely be the way it stays going forward. It is my daily driver, weekend wheeler and toad as well that we flat-tow behind our coach.

I hope to be driving this Jeep still 10-15 years from now during retirement and enjoying it just as much as I do now. My plan is to keep it running and looking just as well as it does now with 109k miles on it.
