how often do you eat BACON?

I am really surprised that TACOMA has not chipped in yet.... you mention bacon and he usually perks right up!!!

I get a pound or two every once in a while.... peppered bacon from smiths... thick cut!!!

There is food other than bacon? Really, every few days, sometimes a couple slices daily.. I'd LOVE to sit down with a couple pounds someday. But my arteries scream just thinking about it!

This thread made me want some so I had my wife wake some potato bacon soup tonight. mmmmmmmmmmmm

Recipe time.....

Simple is best.
Wrap a large Russet potato with two pieces of your best bacon, then wrap in two layers of heavy duty foil. throw in the coals of a campfire for most of an hour then enjoy.
These left over make the best fried taters.....

A little more complicated (but not much)

Mix half ground pork and half ground beef. Make 1/2 lb patties. smoke over apple wood at about 200f for about an hour.

I generally get the B.L.T. with crispy bacon at jcw about twice per month. Dont cook it much since im the only carnivore at my house. I would like to try that  turkey wrapped in bacon. mmm bacony.

had bacon yesterday in an angus sandwich at arbys. I ordered the 3 cheese angus (w/ bacon) and they gave me the angus philly. When I took it up to the counter they offered to make me the right sandwich and I said, "It's ok, just throw a bunch of bacon in there and we'll call it good." Got a few extra pieces out of it! mmmmm
