Huh? After trying to read this, my head hurts!

Tires don't cause death wobble, poor alignment does. Poor alignment can be caused by several things - worn suspension components, etc. I guess if the tires are so far out of balance maybe, but then it wouldn't be death wobble.

I have found that alot of the big 38"+ Bias ply swampers are out or round This will help set off the DW.

I had death wobble pretty bad on my YJ. I had 36" Swamper SXs until last night, when I changed to 35" BFG mudterrains. Death wobble is now gone. Getting rid of those heavy tires cured it. Well, I'm still worried something's not quite right which helped induced DW, but for now I'm all good. Good luck figuring it out, DW is what inspired me to ditch my D30 and upgrade everything rather than chase down the problem.

I've been tinkering with my alignment on my unbalanced SX on H1 wheels (read, VERY HEAVY tire-wheel combination). Set at 0" toe in/out seems to be my best performance. I don't go over 35-40 mph in my Jeep, though.

I just had the same problem in my jeep. i would be going about 20 or 30 in town and all i would need to do was hit a pot hole. I found the problem with mine was not the ball joints but it was the heim joints. i could just feel the play in them with hands. i had those replaced and i put a steering stabalizer on just for percaution and i haven't had any problems since. I don't think that alinement would actually cause a death wobble inless something else is loose.
