-Have someone bring a dog that never leaves its kennel more that twice a year. Here's what to do: Tie it to a nearby tree because it will run away or destroy a tent if you don't.. Listen to it bark the entire time meanwhile the owner tells you how he paid big money for it and how it is the best hunting dog on the planet--better than everyone else's of course.. Kids try to pet it and it pees all over them.. Untangle it from the tree it wraps its leash around every ten minutes (which makes it bark more) because the owner doesn't seem to notice/care. Forget to bring earplugs--listen to barking all night long because you're in a tent and the owner is in a 5th wheel camper watching tv. Wake up to find a broken leash and a missing dog (pity) and spend most of the next day looking for it.

Yep that was a fun weekend I'm sure a newb would have loved it more than I did  LOL!

make sure the other people you camp with bring their dish network satelite, plasma tv, and generator. And make sure they put the generator as far away from their tent and as close to yours as possible and run that baby all night long.

That was the story the first time I went camping in Moab.

Take your dog with you, then when you let him out of the car the first thing he does is get skunked. Then he can't understand why he can't get in your sleeping bag.
Take your dog with you to Bear Lake and the first thing she does is roll in a dead fish. See above.
Camp at Yellowstone, and have a bear come through your campground during the night.
Camp at Yellowstone in September and have frost on the outside and inside of your tent in the morning.
These are the things that have made me the camper that I am today. Motels with showers and pottys RULE!
