How to load a dead Jeep on a trailer?

This may help, Back the trailer up to the driveway so that the wheels of the trailer are in the gutter. This will lower the trailer somewhat because it will drop the rear of the trailer closer to the pavement. Just my .02. Don't know if I am explaining it right.

This helps. Another idea is that if the trailer has a tongue jack on it you can stack wood or cement blocks under it and crank away until the rear of the trailer hits the ground. Then with a few 2x4's to fill the gap the hand winch/come-a-long will easily get it up on the trailer. I have loaded and moved 2 cars that didn't even have wheels on them, so I had to get creative.

I'm in Orem and buying it in Orem. I just figured out the perfect way to get it home. I'm just going to tow it behind my truck. The brakes are still good, and the steering is still good. Just need to throw the battery in aand turn the ignition to unlock the steering. I don't know why I didn't think of it before. It is only about a mile and a half from my house at the most. I guess I just wanted the jeep on my trailer to work on it since it is flat and the ground it will be on is gravel and slightly sloping.

That sounds a lot easier than all this come-a-long and ramp talk. :greg:

Well I just went and picked up the jeep. It took me all of about 7 minutes to drive to the guys house hook my chain up and pull it back to my house. A lot easier than putting it on a trailer.
