This may help, Back the trailer up to the driveway so that the wheels of the trailer are in the gutter. This will lower the trailer somewhat because it will drop the rear of the trailer closer to the pavement. Just my .02. Don't know if I am explaining it right.
This helps. Another idea is that if the trailer has a tongue jack on it you can stack wood or cement blocks under it and crank away until the rear of the trailer hits the ground. Then with a few 2x4's to fill the gap the hand winch/come-a-long will easily get it up on the trailer. I have loaded and moved 2 cars that didn't even have wheels on them, so I had to get creative.
