Instead I would go with the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO. It's a mild tire that's good on and off-road plus it's priced right.
Or if you want a little more knobby of a tire try the BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM. Both of these are perfect for the person just starting to wheel. I would not run Pirelli's even if they were given to me.

Tough to go wrong with the BFG AT/KO.....I would pass on the Pirellis

Don't know much about the Pirelli's but another vote for the BFG's. You can find these for CHEAP if you just look around...

I know a few people who have had really good luck with the scorpions, and obviously a few here have not. Both of my parents run the BFG AT, and will continue to do so. I'll likeley never run another tire than the MTR, unless I have two sets of tres, or a full time tow rig. Then the wheeling tires will be swampers, and the street tires will be BFG ATs. But then, you are my sister, and you have already heard me say that.

I have a set of General Grabber MT's on stock XJ wheels I would sell ya for about $150. They have about 75% tread left. 30 x 9.50 size. That's for 5 wheels and tires. The spare is a different brand though.

Good choice, I've put a lot of hiway miles on KO's plus wheeled every 4+ trail in Moab with them. Great all around rubber, you'll be happy with them.
