So I'm occasionally working on redoing a 60 here in the garage. It's an eastern axle I guess, and every fastener is corroded to an almost laughable extent, which means that every nut and bolt is taking superhuman effort and attention to remove. It's really ridiculous. Anyway.....

..... the kingpins are all grooved, and the passenger side kingpin is only shiny on about 2/3 of it, so something was funky w/that axle for a long time LOL

So, opine. Am I going to receive bodily injury, break tools, or have an easy time of it? hahahah

Me+5' .120cromo breaker bar sleeving a 1/2" wall sleeved 7/8" allen wrench+a judicious application of frustration at corrosion> or < 650ft.lb.???

I think I will win, but break the wrench.

You'll get it all together all prety and shiney new. Then, while installing it, it's going to slp off the jack and chop your little a$$ in half and you'll die....

Where's that option in the poll eh??? :D

Take the allen wrench and weld it to a 12-15" piece of 1" by 4" flatbar and hit it with a slegehammer. Trust me I work with stuff way meaner than rusted kingpins all the time and the sluggerwrench is much more effective. Cheaterbars beak the allen wrench and the sluggers break the bolts loose.

Yeah, I'm gonna bash the wee out of it with a sledge, after I heat it up. I don't feel like sending myself flying across the garage... again.
