Last week was so much fun we headed out again today. It was warmish, no complaints.
We only caught 3 fish, 2 for me and one for my buddy. But..............................
The first one was 25" long and 15.5" girth to put it at 7.5lbs. It is a beautiful rainbow.
After realizing we forgot our phones in the truck, I waded/ran/fell back to the truck as fast as possible to get a phone to take some pics while my buddy kept the fish in the water breathing until I returned.
Then, a few dozen casts later I hooked and landed this brown trout at 25" long, 15" girth and 7.25 lbs.
This kind of luck doesn't come to me often. Needless to say my friend was not happy watching this happen, so I quit casting and let him go to town. It took some work, but he made a great cast and..............................
This rainbow came in at 24" and 15" girth weighing about 6.75 lbs.
Winter is not the time to put the fly rod down and just tie.
No fish were killed in the making of this event!
