Hydro assist question

Early bronco, stock Dana 30. We have a full width 60 that will be going in after we finish some other work. Owner wants power steering now, no when the 60 is done and in.
We are going to run a ram assist witht he 60, and he dosn't want to have to buy power steering twice.

It seems like we would want a longer ram with the 60 than with the 30... is this true?
Could I install the box and pump, and bypass the ram till we get the 60 under it?

I am pretty sure you can get the box and tap it out and then just buy some fittings and plug the box then when you are ready for the ram go for it.

Yep, I would tap and plug untill the 60 is in. Just use normal power steering until then.

Yes a stock 30 should use approx 6" of stroke a Dana 60 is usually 7 1/2 to 8" depending on steering setup. You can have the power steering box tapped and cap the ports. Then when it comes time for the 60 you can purchase the 8" Ramkit and just hook it up and go. We offer complete rebuilds and tapping for the hydraulic assist.
