If I sold the house, Dodge, Wrangler, both motorcycles, and everything else I own... I could buy it! I'd have to live in it of course... but... hummmm, no property & a 4WD house on wheels. I could go for that! :freak: Man, that would be awesome to just travel the world in something like that. Drive down to South America... bum around on the beaches, explore the jungles. I'd be game!

What happens when you get a flat tire? Sure you can get the spare off the top, but you wont get the flat tire back up there! For $360K maybe they have AAA fly out in a helicopter to fix the flat.

Winches F & R... toss the rear cable over the top & drag the tire up the front. :greg:

most have winches on booms that extend out to lift sh!t up to the roof. basically little cranes.

You'de be surprised how many couples are doing just that... I've met a half dozen of them in the last couple of months alone. One was a pair from the states traveling in a Sportsmobile, literally from Alaska to Baja... he does some kind of computer stuff, so all he needed was a wireless connection
. They actually just bought a house here in SLC to settle down. I had another couple from South Africa stop by my place looking for an Engel fridge, they were touring the western US for 6 months. All vehicle based. Richard and I met a couple in a Troopy 70 Series at Bryce NP... German couple, shipped the rig here and traveling for a couple years My buddy Dave left last month for a 9-10 month trip to the southern tip of South America, started in Canada and is working his way south, currently in Costa Rica. Living/traveling in his FZJ80 & roof top tent
