I haven't looked to see exactly what it is, I was too mesmerized by the shiny paint and super-clean underhood stuff, but I'm sure some muscle-car buff will tell me. It's a fairly regular visitor here, since he likes us to do whatever work is needed to it--but it's still unusual in a Jeep shop.

There was a Super Sport, 396 big block, #'s matching Chevelle on KSL a few weeks back. It was a basket case, the body wasn't too rusty but it was total project... very priced right. Something like $1600. That would have been a killer car to build.

I've always wanted to build a canyon-burning high speed muscle car. Take a 60's Camaro, drop in an aluminum LS1 thats hopped up, mated to a 'Vette 6 speed, some Z rated 18-19" wheels & tires, and a rearend with 2.73 gears... drop it just a hair, beef up the suspension & swaybars, add a cage... damn!

I'm SURE my wife is happy I didn't see that.

I thought about posting it here & passing it on to those interested, but never did. Catherine liked the car, I told her what it was & how rare they are and she was encouraging me to get it. I'm happy with my Dodge Modified project, muscle cars are fun but just not what I'm into anymore.

I'm holding my breath for a SWEET deal on a '67 Chevelle SS, factory 396 car, 80's resto, that has been sitting at a shop in PA for the last 15yrs.... which meeeeeeeannnnns

that it's JUST clapped out enough not to bother restoring, but still solid enough to hack the hell out of and have a neat canyon-carver. C5 stuff is pretty affordable, and I am learning to weld MOOOAHAHAH I'm thinking rat-rod G-machine, w/factory big block power, and a lot of pissed-off concours guys. :D

Larry Miller Motorsports Park is RIGHT here. so tempting.

but I'll probably end up with an ex-SCCA Rabbit or something. :(

Wow! Anyone have an M21 or M22 and a bellhousing? I've got a couple of motors in the front of my garage.

Those fenders and lower doors even look usable. Maybe the 1/4 panels are too? I know of one SS hood, but I wouldn't dare knab that from him. It's orange.

Will Becky let me keep it at your house until it's done? :D The Monte can survive the snow.

Nice try there buddy... I'm begining the long process of streching the garage out to fit two more cars. She "thinks" it's to fit the truck in there, but I've got bigger plans a brewin....... ;)

There will be a muscle car in my future, after I'm finished playing with the Jeep. I want a 67 Mustang fastback, but Janeal wants a 67 - 69 Camaro. I could do a 70 Challenger also.

Did you notice that '68 Chevelle you linked on KSL showed up there again for $1750 this time?
