I miss milk :(

as in your only 2 children?

No....I actually have 4 children. :) 10, 7, 4, and soon to be 2. Technically, the last two aren't mine in the sense that I gave birth to them, but I consider them mine. Their other mother is Swiss and they speak only German at home. What's funny is that since they spend so much time with me, they speak English even in response to German. Makes my life a bit easier! ;)

I love swiss german! Haven't heard it in years :( Hmmm, I'm thinking a road trip to Pagosa is in order this summer :D

And as to not hi-jack meat's thread entirely, I secretly like nesquick with my 1% :guilty:

My threads are made to be hi-jacked :)

I've heard that German is a rather harsh language, but that Swiss German is actually soft and pretty?

The dialect that I'm familiar with (basel land) still has the real throaty sound, but it does come off a lot softer. IMO there's not a prettier language (dialect) in the world.

Some months ago I was in the hospital, there was a woman speaking German which I generally don't care much for (I'm only talking about the sound of it, as I don't speak it), but what she had going on was very pretty....

I think it's a pretty language, but for all I know, their mama could be telling me that the color pink sucks and I'm a terrible influence on her children!! The daddy, MPM, actually joined RME awhile ago and I'm hoping to bring them to the RME BBQ this year. If that's the case, you can bask in all the Swiss German you want! :greg: You and Kami still need to come to Pagosa though.....:tara:

To tie the German stuff to the milk, in Germany (actually, all of Europe I assume) you can get milk with an unrefrigerated shelf life of about 3-4 months. It's terrible to drink, but it works great for cereal.

Ben, I'm Kyle Roerig.

What a crazy RME connection, how's it going? It's been a few years!
