I need a project

Great ideas guys. I've always wanted to get my pilot license but I've always held off because it is so expensive to rent planes and actually fly.

I love the idea of a Blazer, I hadn't even thought of that. I had a '71 Blazer that is one of my all time favorite vehicles I owned. It was named the beast. I had it when I started dating my wife. I still remember my wife sitting in the middle and us looking cool driving down the road. When Janet and I got married we had to sell it because it only got 5 mpg. We traded it in on my first Jeep. That was when I started rock crawling and found this forum. It had a 455 olds motor, a four inch lift with 35's and a rear locker (before they were cool ). Sorry for the reminiscing, just brought back a flood of memories .

I like the idea of a Willy's. You could build it as a 4x4 or even chop the top and build it as a Hot Rod.

Great suggestions guys. Definitely gives me ideas. I think I need to figure out how to get something from Utah to California so if I find something up there I can go ahead and get it. I just remembered I have plans to build a car carrier. I guess I could make that my first project. So many decisions. I would hate to buy something and then figure out later I bought the wrong thing....hmm.

Very true, no one has ever had an emergency due to over preperation, just saying take your time figure out what you want

Since you are now living in California I would look for a project in Arizona before I looked in Utah. Better weather in Arizona and the vehicles should be in better shape.

Without pictures I couldn't see it but from what I read it looks like a great project. Not really a project for me since it is done

I was also thinking of maybe a early Bronco of 40 series Land Cruiser. Last time I looked at early Broncos they were crazy expensive. Don't know about the Cruiser's. I'm sure Kurt knows of some good finds out there

40 series cruisers are about the same crazy price as the older Broncos. The ones you want are spendy and the ones that have the right price are in poor shape.
