Maybe it is self destructing. I looked into shavin' my 14 for a while and just never got around to it. Andy and I figure you could easily shave enough off to have the same clearance as a smooth 60 ( about 7/8" on mine.

If it was me, I would use my 4" grinder with the really thin discs first and then grind it smooth.

PLasma won't be here for a few more days, but I don't think it would do it too well, that rib is about 1" thick. Saw zaw would work, but I hate buying new blades for them, the 4 inch discs are 1.98 at Lowes.

That's why I went with the sx's, I saw a 5" diameter branch go through a sidewall of a ssr like it was butter. I love my SX's, I just wish they were bigger.
