May help. I actually prefer to use Carb cleaner vs starting fluid... Why? Cause it actually causes the engine to die instead of idle up... at least the good stuff does. Its non-flamable so you don't catch everything on fire.

According to ARRC Repair: Crank shaft Position sensor...
Unplug the sensor connector from the ignition control module and connect an ohmmeter between terminals A and B as marked on the connector. The ohmmeter should read 125-275 ohms on a hot engine. Replace the sensor if the reading are not as stated.

thank you everyone! you all helped a ton. i finaly found it. once agin it was the dam cps. so from now on thats the first thing i will try. i dont feel to bad though. like i sad, when i was in az. a diagnostic tec who has been doing it for 30 years. got stumped on it as well. so thanks again.

one more question. i am new to the area. is there anyone who lives in the spanish fork area, that goes out alot that wouldnt mind a tag along? i am kinda a bigginer but not to bad.

Well, here's a decent educational experience for you. Many hands make light work. Look for a yellow LJ Rubicon and my "cutie" in my avatar. We'll be at Tibble Fork at 9 am. Bring some gloves and a coat. Could be kinda nasty?
