so what kind of citation did you get?
I was seriously looking at it.
Looks like a good base.
So are you going to build the stocker or what?
for now, crank the torsion bars, add-a-leafs or a small block(i know not the best).. weld the rear, 33's... that'll be it for anything involving wheeling..
i'm going to focus on doing body work, getting it all purtyd up for paint.. i'll get some fiberglass fenders too.. i'm going to paint it some type of orange/rusty metallic color, with black bed liner along the bottom half..
hopefully once the body is where i want it, i'll pick up a rolling chassis to a 3rd gen 4runner, or single cab taco with 3.4/auto, maybe TRD... swap the 1st gen over to the later year.. Total Chaos suspension.. then i'll be happy
Huh... interesting. I'd love to have another 3rd Gen 4Runner, but I wouldn't be swapping some old tech body onto it.
well, my thought was instead of swapping an engine and everything over to the 1st gen frame with all the headaches of new tabs, and adapters, and electrical.. and so on... i figure i'll swap the body over..
i can pick up a rolled 3rd gen with low miles for around $1,500.. so, not too bad..
Sounds like quite a project!
why don't you just find a running 3rd gen 4 runner, put a solid axle underneath it, and save yourself 10000 hours of labor and money in the long run??
I DON"T WANT A SOLID AXLE..............
I DON"T WANT A SOLID AXLE..............
Yeah you do
Shhhh they might hear you!
I had my eye on that one--It was a good deal. I'm really jelous of the inclometer or whatever it is on the dash
