That's certainly an interesting swap choice.....
It is odd... This one was actually made by GM for the US military somewhere around 1960ish, and the dude swears that it is the original engine. It also doesn't have top loader axles they are more like a GIANT Ford 9in. I'll try and get some pics It's a pretty cool looking truck.

AAAHHHHH that's an earlier, WWII vintage deal then. The axles gave it away.

My mom's family had one on their farm in Idaho after WWII. She said it was awesome. The ward used it to deliver firewood whenever everyone was snowed in. Back in the good ol' days when an 11 year old could drive a duece-and-a-half around town.
