I Won Green Day Tickets!!!

Just got back. Green Day freak'n ROCKED! There was one very short political comment. No preaching, no chanting, just lots of sweet music. They really sound great live. Not one of those bands that can put out a good record with the help of studio magic, but can't sing live. They rocked. They played most of American Idiot, and then a few of the big hits from older albums.

We got to go to the sound check around five, about ten of us in the whole Delta Center, and Green Day played a couple songs to check out the setup. That was cool. Then we went downstairs to one of the VIP rooms where we got autographed 8x10s and t-shirts and stuff. We waited there for a while then went back upstairs and went to our seats. Jimmy Eat World opened.

You couldn't have paid me to go. I don't like Green Day at all. I'm not 100% sure why, which is odd. They play their songs wwwaaaaayyyyyy too much on the radio, which will kill any good song. They killed their new songs so much I can't even listen to their old stuff anymore. :-\
