So what are the "real issues" here? What actions do we need to take to solve the real issues?

Vote ALL of the government officials out of office and start fresh. (It worked pretty good for the first 200 years.) Put some businessmen/women in place to justify tax dollars being spent vs. return (successful business folk, not pansies). Cut all the bureaucratic finger pointing and just get the job done. I'm tired of hearing whose fault it is. I want to know about potential solutions to a given problem. Bunch of whiny b!tches (politicians) for the most part.

I find it interesting that there was no plan for the prisoners and they were just all released. I know it would be nearly impossible to evacuate and actually put them somewhere... but wow.

I see nothing wrong with what he did. The federal government is prohibited from stepping in and taking over until they are asked by state and local governments.
.
True words. States rights/Federal rights. Governer has to ask for help before Federal aid can come.

WELL SAID!!! I completely agree with you! To bad that there is no such thing as just "getting the job done" anymore.

I may be wrong, but I think that is just a rumor. I know some of the prisoners were enlisted to help pass out hygene and food kits from the Red Cross.
