I had a good laugh at diamond rental when I returned a tractor that I rented to landscape my yard

there was some arrogant punk working the counter when I returned it and he asked me if he needed to go see if I filled up the tank or could he trust me. so I gave him a big smile and said Nope its full I even put premium in it for you. man the look on his face was priceless. I let him stew for a few seconds before I told him I was joking.

Yep, I often find myself cussing up a storm in this exact scenario.
I usually just pull obnoxiously close behind them and let my diesel rattle their ear drums while they fill up.

I pulled up behind a lady who was fueling up at the only pump that offered diesel, though all 6 other, gas only pumps were empty. I had a trailer on and pulled up pretty close so I could get off the street. After a few minutes of listening to my noisy truck, she gave me a dirty look, and motioned towards all the other empty pumps, as if to ask me why I had to use the one she was parked at. I just looked back at her and shook my head. Someone pulled up at the pump on the other side of her. And I could hear her remark to that person, "why does this guy think he HAS to use THIS pump?"

So the answer is..... some people have no clue.

Thats when you tell her you own the place and she is lucky to have the privledge to use your pump
