I have 1/2" Dewalt that I put in my off-road tool kit. You would be amazed at how often that it is used at home, and on the trail.

I appreciate all the replies. It's hard to decide which brand to go with, the big three seem very even for ratings. Mil, Mak and Dew

I have the m12 drill and impact at home. We have a makita set at work. You can't go wrong with either. Best price would determine what I bought.

I love mine(Makita). I really love it for putting in long screws and lag bolts. If you have ever put in a long screw and had to back it out and "get a run at it" a few times you will love the impact.
