Interested in a new, 18' car hauler trailer?

I'm going to be purchasing a new 18' tandem axle car hauler trailer with brakes, a 2' dovetail, ramps & ramp storage, 2" ball, etc. Axles are 3500 lbs each, total hauling capacity of 7000 lbs. The trailers are built with a 16' deck + a 2' dovetail, to make loading/unloading easier. (Long story short... I'll be working in the mid-west for the next while and I understand you can buy new trailers out there for a good deal. I might bring 4 of them back and sell the other 3 to help cover the expenses of the drive.)

Anyone interested in a quality-built, brand new 18' car hauler? I was thinking about selling them for $2250 locally, but if anyone on here wants one I'll sell them to RME members for $2000 even. (Trailers come with good, used tires) Right now I'm just trying to gauge interest & see if this is worth going thru with.

Just make sure they're built using at least 5" channel material. When I was looking at trailers, a lot of those trailers from the "mid-west" were built using only 3" channel material. Makes for a weak trailer.

I still say look at the PJ trailers up at Wasatch trailer. Quailty built trailers with more bling for the buck than what you'd get from Big headed Bubba.

Just my opinion of course!

Looks like those are made with 3x5 angle for the main rails. :(

Sorry Greg. Just might not be worth the trouble.

Ask around though, I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

So why make a big deal out of it then? You haven't seen what I've been using, anything is a big improvement. I'm not hauling a skidsteer or backhoe, just a 4500 pound Jeep.

Here's the build specs for those interested-

  • 3"x5" Angle Mainframe
  • 2"x3" Crossmembers
  • 4" Channel Tongue

I'm still planning on going thru with the deal.

Thata the same as mine. I have been very happy with it. It has been a good trailer.
