Interview in Moab this Weekend

So I have a job interview this weekend in Moab. Excited for it, more nervous about the prospect of living down there. I only go down there a couple of times a year so I am unsure what the different markets are like.

What is the housing market like...in comparison to Utah Co., SL Co.? Schools for kids any good?

Alot more expensive..... we sold our house in Moab (1200 sq ft, .09 acre) for $175k and bought a larger house in Logan on double the lot for $118k.
Who are you interviewing with?

thats logan though. I'm suprised they don't subsidize your home purchase to come live there.

Good luck with the interview. I'd imagine the slumping housing market is hitting there also. Should be some good deals somewhere.

Don't know him. But I really did enjoy living in Moab. The problem was that I wanted to spend more time wheeln than working, :greg:
Food is more expensive there, but not too bad, except for things like milk ($4 gallon). There are alot of cool locals that will show you the "hidden" trails and other cool things.

Actually we bumped our move until next spring/summer. More for the construction cost of our new shop. The contractors were way too proud
of their service. We have had one come back and tell me he can drop his bid by $200K, no gouging there is there?

Nice to see it's the same in all the little rural towns. I have seriously been contemplating moving back to Ephraim, but the lack of any good paying job and contractor\developers who think their stuff is made of gold has put a damper on that big time. It's Ephraim for hell sakes, who wants to live there? (expect me?)

Moab is turning into a greenie's retiring community. People from California are buying up condos and such for vacation and retiring. My dad is an architect, and he just designed some condo units for a developer. They're ~1,200sf and selling in the ~$250's. :eek:

That's nothing, there are condos and twin homes selling between $300-500K
