Two friends at work got them. I didn't get to try the 4G out too much but I did notice the camera is much better in several ways....

It was funny though the one dude tried to YouTube something at the same time as me and he was on Edge but my old 8 gig was on 3G standing two feet away so I didn't have a problem :D It was fun to rub it in even though it was just coincidence

So, have you noticed that the signal strength is reduced when you hold it? Does yours have a yellow/brownish area in the lower-right corner of the screen? It looks like a nice device, and incredibly thin! I just wonder if they rushed it a bit and released it before they got all the bugs out.

I don't have the new iphone but I can tell you the 4.0 OS on the 3g-s sucks. The folder stuff is cool, but I almost wish I didn't upgrade. My phone has locked up three times since updating and is major laggy.

My boss bought a signal booster antenna ($500) for our building so he could finally receive calls, today he (with his new iPhone) was walking outside so he could continue his conversation... I think it is funny. So much money spent and still only a satisfactory experience. I am a Apple person through and through but I think it is funny the whole "club" I am not allowed in at work 'cause my phone actually works indoors.

I missed out on the first day of ordering but was able to use the Apple Store ap to pre-order the day after. Unfortunately I don't get mine until July. Whatever it is, it will be a great upgrade from my original 8 gig 2G.

I have not had any of the signal problems some people are claiming. Nor has anyone in my office (there's about a dozen of us that all got the 4). Also, none of us have the yellow spot a couple people have reported. For the number of phones they sold/delivered by opening day (I'm willing to bet it's at or over 1 million phones), you are bound to have a few bad phones. The quality of the phone is far superior to any phone I've ever seen.

You're the first person I've heard say that. I ran the 4.0 OS since it was first released (beta versions included) and I never had any issues at all with it after the first initial release. I ran it on my 3G and was very happy with it. Again, in my office, all the guys had 3GSes except me and my boss, and all of them had the 4.0 OS and have really liked it. Infact there were a couple guys that gave up their reservations for a 4 because they didn't see the need to upgrade after getting 4.0 on. If I were you, I'd wipe it and reflash.

I wouldn't be surprised if you get your phone sooner than that. They ended up having enough phones for everyone in line yesterday at the store (both the reservation line and the incredibly long non-reservation line). I skipped the 3GS so I was on a 3G since the day it was released, the 4 was a much desired upgrade. The screen is amazing, and the build quality is top notch. It'll be worth the wait regardless of what it is. :)

I hear a lot of people say this, but how many phone are $200 when released (most good phones) and how many can you sell for more than you buy it for after using it for two years? I bought my 3G on release day for $200 and sold it three days ago for $250. That's a two year old phone that I MADE money on. Besides, $200-$300 isn't that much money in the grand scheme of things. Anyone that tried to claim their droid bricks are good phones are going to get laughed at. The Android OS is good and has a ton of potential, but they haven't released a quality phone with it yet.

My Eris has a fractured screen because I got so sick of it I threw it at my dash board. I felt much better after that.:greg:

I wish I had AT&T service in Price.:(

I got my Hero for free and could sell it for more than $50...so my profit would be better ;)

You're only buying it for $200 because it's on contract. People are willing to pay $250 for your phone because they are locked into a contract (or don't want to be) and need a phone for whatever reason, and buying a used one for $250 is way better than buying a new one for $400

I pushed a buddy into a swimming pool once with his blackberry in hand. I had to buy him a new phone, off contract. Not cheap, but I saved $200 by buying a used phone off of ebay.

The only one I have seen has the yellow arm pit stains. Most apps don't show the bottom of the screen so it is hard to notice, but the facebook app is white the full length and it is easy to see the yellow on the bottom of the screen.

I'm not really sure what you mean by this? My G1 has been working flawlessly for over a year, and been treated less-than-kindly on several occasions here and abroad. Sound transmission and reception are excellent, all the functions are functional and crisp, etc. Qualify your statement, sir!!! heh

I'm not that picky w/phones though, to be honest. If it works, doesn't break within a couple months, etc, I'm probably all right with it.

Use it for two years and see how much you can sell it for. :D If you want to compare profits, I was offered $1000 for my iphone 4 yesterday by one of the guys in the non-reservation line because, at the time, he didn't think he would get a phone...that's not my point though. :)

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here. As you pointed out, ANY phone is pricey off contract. Go buy a stinking razor off contract and it's still $200. My point was that the only phone you can use for a full contract and still turn around and sell for more than you paid for it is the iphone. Guys are still buying the first gen iphones for ~$150.

Are you kidding? The G1 was one of the most chinnsey (sp?) phones to be released with the Android OS. That's great it's been working for you, but to claim that's a quality phone is like saying the free phones they give away with contracts are quality.
